Shoreditch visit
This visit was very interesting for me because I really like thrift and vintage. I really enjoy thrift shopping because these garments are very interesting and each speak of them speak about the different personalties they used to belong to. We were also asked to explore different street arts around the place.
Initially when we reached there, not a lot of the shops weren’t open yet but that gave us a time to explore the street arts around brick lane. Each art was very different and unique. Some were made with bright colours and were very small whereas some where made with a lot of detailing and covered the entirety of the walls. Every art work depicted different thoughts and ideas going through the artists mind. It was a very interesting project.
The vintage shops around Shoreditch and Brick lane were had varieties of stuff. These stores consisted of products like bags, hats, jewellery, etc along with a lot of different garments. Some store even consists of garments that were made, up cycled or painted by the store owners or the old owners of the product. It was refreshing to see such unique collections of products in the vintage markets.
When I was done with exploring the place and clicking images for inspiration, I went to click pictures of people for my costumer profile and shop reports.Everyone that I asked for a picture from was very kind and happily agreed to answer the questions as well. I really enjoyed this project because I got to know new people with different styles and backgrounds. It was a very indulging and interesting project to work for.
