TOOLBOX SESSION 6

During this session we were asked to select our target costumer for our projects. I spent the session analysing all the costumer profiles I collected and put together different pictures for each costumer to make their aesthetic board.this helped me understand and analyse them better.

I used the boards to match their aesthetics with mine, it helped me finalise the costumer I wanted as my target audience. While choosing my costumer, I kept in mind the style of my work. I like to keep things simple yet highlight the important area. I wanted to experiment a little but still keep it familiar to my style. I chose a young actress, when I talked to her I instantly felt as if she was a very approachable and kind person. And while I researched her Instagram she gave off the vibes of a very bold and opinionated women. I chose her as my costumer not just because I found her interesting but also because I felt inspired by her. She was a very kind person yet didn’t shy away from putting forth her opinions and address people when they are wrong.

This assignment kind of helped me get out of my shell and allowed me to get to know people who I would have just admired from afar and never talked to. I enjoyed this assignment because it helped me build a part of my confident side and also because o really enjoy analysing people and styles. And I believe that this help me in future a lot because I want to proceed in either media or business side of fashion. I still think I need to work on my a of analytic and communicative skills but I really enjoyed this assignment.

During the class we also talked about comparative shopping and were asked to create our costumer profile based on the given product. I enjoyed that because me and my group were able to talk and know what each of us think when we look at a product or other people in general. Each of us had different ideas about what kind of costumer would have chosen which bag. This part helped me better in analysing my product and costumer together and connect the links between them.
