TOOLBOX SESSION 7

This session was all about making our ideas link to all the research we did and make Idea build-up for our final products. during this session I went back to all the research I did and tried to connect everything together. it took a while but I came up with an idea of designing a magazine that involves a campaign Idea I want to work on.

The magazine that I came up with was based on sustainable fashion. During the session I spent my time doodling and making different layouts for my magazine cover. it was a lengthy process because I wanted it to be based on my target costumer as well. I wanted a part of her involved in the designing process. I wanted my magazine to be simple yet something that one would be attracted to read. Something that people can’t just ignore but I didn’t wanted to add a lot of colour and pop ups. I wanted it to be simple yet make a statement of its own.

So I came up with an idea to combine my magazine and the campaign as a collaboration. I designed my magazine while keeping in mind the campaign and a tagline, “Minimal id the New Normal”. My magazine would include different sustainable brands and several other articles that highlight the areas where the concept sustainability can be applied.

I worked on paper with several basic layouts and then worked on photoshop and created a few basic layouts. It was a very interesting process because I played with different colours and styles and then came up with the final product ideas. I wanted to design a magazine as a product but I also wanted my campaign idea to be part of. So I tried to combine the two together to experiment with and I hope it works out fine. I think that I am still not sure if I want to progress in the media or business pathway so I wanted to include parts of both in my project and hence tried to do the same.
