TOOLBOX SESSION 9

During this session we had to click images for our product ideas. I decided to click pictures of the bag as a stand in for my product, this bag is an example of bags that my campaign COLLATERAL would have produced.

I worked with one of my friends. We agreed on being each others model. I really enjoyed the session as it was related to media. I decided to keep my pictures very simple and sophisticated so as to match my concept. It was a very interesting process since we clicked pictures in different locations and poses. the session incredibly fun as we were free to do anything with our concept images. As much I wanted to experiment I decided to go with the basic to connect my research and outcomes together. I connected the concept of bag with my museum research sine when we work with recycle plastic, at times it because very stiff and structured. So for my final outcome I took inspirations from the structures in the museum. Their stiff structures and basic colours helped me come up the concept of making the bags a mix of regular bags and evening bag. The layering of different images and they fading background was inspired by the Shoreditch street art.

I was satisfied with the outcome of the session to some extend but I think I could have done a little better. I also wish I would have included some experimentation with the same and I hope that in future I get a chance to do the same. The pictures that I choose for my final product depict my idea pretty clearly as its main focus is a bag but also I my friend is dressed in a simple yet bold outfit and it matched my idea. I also took some pictures with green leafy background which indirectly depicts the concept of sustainability in my head.

I think working on these concept build ups and coming up with ideas is a strong point for me and I enjoy doing it as well. I also believe that drawing and designing is one of my weakness but I hope I get to work on the same so as to improve my work. I think that if I get a chance I would have taken the photoshoot outside the campus to explore more areas but I could not due to a time limit.
